For Girls Only

7 Tips For Girls: These are just some things I have noticed about relationships from past experiences, or just things my friends and I have talked about together. They aren't to be taken too seriously. Just some things to think about :)

1. NEVER date a boy who's best friend is a girl (that isn't you). PERIOD.

* Every single guy I have dated that had a girl best friend, never worked out because of that best friend. Your BF will tell you that him and this girl "have been best friends forever!" Or "I have known her for longer than I have known you. It wouldn't be fair." There will always be feelings between the two of them. Their relationship is something that could be more someday, and they both have probably thought about it. It isn't fair to you or them. All in all, it just isn't a good thing
.
2. If you're boyfriend cries more than you do...RUN!

* I am not trying to be insensitive here or anything, but a perfectly strait guy is going to try to be tough in front of his girlfriend. It is just in their nature! If your boyfriend is crying in front of you a lot, either he doesn't care about how you see him anymore, or he has some serious emotional issues.

3. You're boyfriend needs to have guy friends. If he doesn't, he will annoy the snot out of you.

* Guys need to be around other guys and talk about guy stuff that they just don't feel comfortable talking about around girls. If your BF doesn't have guy friends, he will probably want to talk to you about everything...everything. And unless he is comfortable being alone sometimes, he will also become clingy. Clingy = Ick

4.Your guy needs to be sensitive when it comes to certain things, but guys are guys and they aren't going to change.

* Guys aren't all about communication and feelings and ooie gooyingness like us girls are. They aren't going to pick up on how you are feeling like you want them to. If you are feeling crappy, tell them and tell them why. They aren't mind readers.

5. Some things that really matter to you in a relationship (or just in general), just don't matter to him.

* Problems you think you might be having in a relationship, really don't seem like problems to a guy.
Take the song by Pink and FUN. In the song, the girl thinks there are all these problems between the two of them, and the guy thinks everything is fine, he just notices that his love is acting cooler towards him. He cares, but can't pick up on it like girls can.

6. Your boyfriend and you therapist are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Don't treat either of them like the other ;)

* Your boyfriend should be someone you can talk to about problems in your life...but not all the time, or even half the time. If you are constantly whining about issues, he is going to associate you with the problems you are complaining about and then he will find someone who doesn't make him feel that way. Talk to your girlfriends about problems you are having, because honestly, that is what they are there for! Girls love to help each other out and give advice. Guys...not so much.

7. Stick to your standards. Just because you have been single for a while, doesn't mean there is no one that meets your standards. Don't settle.

* Being single can be really fun! However, it can also suck! When you see cute couples cuddling up close at a movie, or holding hands at dinner, it can make you want to grab the cutest guy that will come up to you. Wait it out. In the end, you will be glad you did.
